ATLAS

Atlas is a titan, convicted by Zeus to carrie the world on his shoulders. He is the incarnation of the wild forces of nature rising, the initial cataclysm, that the land is arranged to receive, a lap calmer, life and its dome conscious: humans. Being the lord of distant waters, the ocean beyond the Mediterranean honors Titan: Atlantic. The Atlas is still the Cordillera that stands up to the sky, separating North Africa from the rest of the continent. Finally, in cartography, Atlas is the collective maps, the collection of letters that represent the planet Earth. In addition to lending his name to these meanings, Atlas appoints the first vertebra of the cervical spine - a clear reference to where the giant held weight that was condemned to bear.
