Entry Description

Built in 1922, a rotating circular platform consisted of twelve radial tracks point outward, the roundhouse station in Chang-Hua is a historical monument in Chang-Hua county. It is the only roundhouse station fully preserved in Taiwan, a relic that belongs to the Japanese-ruling era. In 1990, due the railroad upgrade from Taiwan Railroad Bureau, the roundhouse garage in Chang-Hua, the last of its kind, was scheduled to be razed.
