Entry Description

The dancer in front is moving according to what the orders of the fingers behind, but actually, neither of the performers see the counterpart's action. The result is a stunning piece of dance, that melts virtuosity and a lot of fun. For sure, this amazing exercise requires a great amount of rhythm and synchronization to make it work. Actually, this photo shows a view that the audience is not supposed to see. The public can't see the puppeteer, but only the shadows on the canvas. This photo was possible, because I was sitting on the far right, just in front of the stage. Taken from "Panorama", a dance show by Philippe Decoufle, one of the most wonderful french choregraphers.
