Entry Description

"Find your Breath" is a personal project formed by five self-portraits shooting with care in a strange and unconfortable situation, all this to better accentuate the concept that I wanted to translate into my images. FIND YOUR BREATH: There is no air, I feel like suffocating and I am sinking into my own world. I need to breathe! A breath of air, even short. My time managed as I would like, my oxygen. I am trying to resist, my mind get foggy. The absence of air wears myself out, it changes me. I can hardly recognise me anymore. Take a decision: let yourself suffocate or react My mind is back to lucidity, I remember what I need to, find my oxygen, the best one, the one can be preserved. I resurface from the chaos of my own world, even though for an instant only. Just enough time. I take a breath, aware that this will be only the beginning Of the same loop that seems to be completed instead. Holding your breath under water is a metaphor to try and shape a state of mind, to try and describe a loop that, whether one likes it or not, is with us all day. Victims of ourselves, of our frenzy as well as of our time chasing us, we can remain afloat only if we find the right instant to breathe.
