I took this photo of myself from behind a shower door. The water drops refract my face in every single drop and I instantly loved the effect. This image was taken with a Sigma 105mm F2.8 Macro Lens and a Canon 50D DSLR. It was taken on December 30, 2012.
I was born in Argentina in 1980 and have moved to Canada in 1987. I currently live in British Columbia and currently work as an environmental chemist in an analytical lab. I am an avid amateur photographer with an interest primarily in artistic, macro, architecture and nature photography. My passion for photography originally begun in astrophotography. After 10 years of taking astrophotos beginning in the mid 1990's, I quickly found out that I had a passion for more earth bound photography. Since 2004, I have been shooting and capturing anything I saw as beautiful or interesting. From everyday objects to cityscapes, this has led me to take a wide variety of images. I believe there is a beauty in everything and I try to capture this in my images. I shoot mainly with a Canon 50D and a variety of different lenses.
