The Cat and the Goldfish

Children's book, written and illustrated by Lisa Powers, based on a true story of a rescue cat who rescues a lonely, abandoned goldfish after the massive earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand. Illustrations are all photographic, using the actual cat, Benny, who lives with the author/photographer.

French born, raised in NY & CA, worked in advertising as art director, then as commercial, freelance photographer. Currently living/working in FineArts in New Zealand. Winner of multiple prestigious awards including a Lucie Award from the International Photo Society, NY, and Distinction Honours from the Royal Photographic Society, UK. Won a Prix d'Or for Best Children's Book Cover from Paris Photo. Have had several gallery exhibitions in US, New Zealand, and Tokyo.
