These photographs are part of an ongoing series, "Animal Instincts", in which I quietly observe my young children as they learn patience and compassion as they they interact with nature and the non-exotic wildlife in our backyard.
Shawna Gibbs is an American photographer known for her portrait, interior and still life photography and for her collaborative work with other artists. Her work has been exhibited at the Currier Museum of Art, Minneapolis Photo Center, AVA Gallery, Panopticon Gallery, Woman Made Gallery and has been featured on several prominent websites including Fraction Magazine and Lenscratch. Gibbs has a B.A. in Human Geography from Boston University. She currently lives in New Hampshire, United States.
