Untitled 2015 is a part of my ongoing project "City landscapes" The main thrust of Andrzej Pilichowski-Ragno’s work lies at the intersection of social documentary photography and street photography. He consciously references classic twentieth-century photography, all the while maintaining his own highly personal, individual focus. Rather than fall into discrete projects, the artist’s work forms one great cycle concentrated on the notion of the urban landscape and the place of humankind within it. Centered on everyday subject matter, his compositions and the formal solutions he employs combine to create works that are not meant to shock the viewer, but rather to induce reflection and introspection.
