PX3 NEWSLETTER || JULY 2007

The very successful premiere exhibition of Px3 2007's winning work was held on June 29th at the 13Sévigné Gallery, located in the heart of Paris's Marais district. The winning photographs were exquistetly printed and framed by Dupon, one of the most respected labs in Paris. The work was also curated and illuminated beautifully, making Px3 2007's final product truly breathtaking.

The ambitious and elegant event was widely attended by the who's who of Paris, artists and press alike. Guests included the Parisian Minister of Culture, top decision-makers from various agencies in Paris, gallery owners from Los Angeles, London, New York and Paris, as well as many Px3 entrants from around the world.

Px3 has now opened the 2008 Call For Entries. Don't miss the opportunity to have your work showcased at next year's exhibition, included in the annual book, and viewed by leaders in the photography industry and a large public audience. Over 39,481 votes were tallied to determine 2007's Px3 Public Choice Winners! Px3 awards incluce the "Photographer of the Year" and 3,000 Euros. Non-professional photographers compete for the "Best New Talent Award" and 2,000 Euros.

PX3 also introduces the Human Condition photography competition, with an October 1st deadline. The goal of this short and one-time only event is to document the wide spectrum of peoples' ways of life around the world. As the Human Condition encompasses the totality of the experience of humanity, entries may showcase daily endeavors of any caliber; from rich to poor, from third world nations to western society, and from joyful to desolate.

The top 25 winning photographs from selected by the esteemed jury of magazine and newspaper photography editors will be exhibited. The winners will also be published in the Px3 Human Condition catalogue, to be distributed at the exhibition and to photography editors around the world.
